Restaurant Chef – Flights Craft Bar and Kitchen

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Restaurant Chef to join our team to lead the restaurant operation. The Restaurant Chef is responsible for operational excellence in collaborative menu creation, training staff members, leading team members in food preparation and plating to provide highly consistent products, proactively managing food costs, and ensuring high-quality standards for food quality, taste, and overall cleanliness are met.

Qualifications:
- Proven experience working as a Chef in a restaurant setting.
- Knowledge of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures.
- Understanding of food safety and sanitation regulations.
- Ability to lead a diverse team and work in a fast-paced environment.

Supervisory experience required.
- Certification from a culinary school or degree in Culinary Arts is a plus.

Responsibilities:
- Develop and plan menus in collaboration with the Executive Chef, ensuring consistency and quality.
- Oversee food preparation, including taste, portion control and presentation.
- Monitor food costs and work within budgetary guidelines.
- Train and supervise kitchen and stewarding staff.
- Ensure compliance with food safety standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen.

- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Passion for cooking and creativity in the kitchen.
- Proven leadership abilities and a collaborative nature.
- Knowledge of industry and local trends with a focus on sustainability.

-Interface with guests and promote the hotel.

-Collaborate with the management team to continuously improve.

-Other duties as assigned
